Fresh Peach Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. fresh ripe peaches (about 8)
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    light cream
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Lightly grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Wash peaches, peel and slice.
    Put peaches in a baking dish.
    Sift flour with sugar, salt and cinnamon into a medium bowl.
    With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles coarse cornmeal.
    Sprinkle evenly over peaches. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with light cream.
    Serves 6 to 8.
