Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

1 unbaked pie crust
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. rum flavoring
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs. Mix well. Pour in syrup and flavoring. Stir in oatmeal and pecans. Pour in pie shell; bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0. (Fifty minutes may be enough!)
