Canned Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 or 3 drops yellow food coloring
5 or 6 lb. apples
Preparation
-
Cook until thick all ingredients, except sliced apples.
Pack sliced apples into jars.
Pour hot mixture over apples in jar. Process in water bath canner for 15 minutes.
