Shrimp Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 medium green bell pepper, sliced thin
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. beef broth
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. red pepper sauce
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut okra or 1 (16 oz.) can okra, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained)
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 1/2 lb. fresh or frozen raw shrimp in shells, thawed
    3 c. hot cooked rice
    1 tsp. parsley
Preparation
    Melt the margarine in 5-quart pan over medium heat.
    Cook onions, bell pepper and garlic in margarine about 5 minutes.
    Add flour; stir constantly until bubbly.
    Remove from heat.
    Add remaining ingredients (except shrimp, rice and parsley).
    Break up tomatoes, heat to boiling and reduce heat.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
