Cherry Nut Bread(Makes 1 Loaf) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. walnuts, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
Preparation
    Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together the flour, soda and salt; set aside.
    In a large mixing bowl, mix together the sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
    Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately to creamed mixture.
    Beat just until blended after each addition.
    Fold in nuts and cherries. Turn batter into prepared pan.
    Bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
    Remove from pan; cool on a wire rack.
