Louisiana Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cake flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
sour milk or buttermilk *
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

*With butter or oleo, use 1/2 cup minus 2 tablespoons sour milk.
With vegetable shortening, use 1/2 cup sour milk.
