German Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut (with juice)
    2 to 3 thinly sliced medium potatoes (optional)
    1 finely chopped medium onion
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 pt. tomato juice
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Layer ingredients as given in a 3-quart casserole dish.
    Cover and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes.
