Banana Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. mashed bananas
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
    Bake until it tests done, 50 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve warm or cold.
