Scalloped Potatoes With Ham - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    3 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    3 Tbsp. flour
    salt and pepper
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1 can Tender Chunk ham
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Peel potatoes and cut into thin slices. Melt 3 tablespoons butter in pan over low heat.
    Blend flour and salt and pepper.
    Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly.
    Remove from heat; stir in milk.
    Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Boil and stir 1 minute.
    In greased 2-quart casserole, layer in following order:
    Potatoes, onions, sauce and ham (if desired) and repeat.
    Dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
    Cover; bake 30 minutes.
    Uncover; bake 30 to 45 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.
    Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
