Batter Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. warm water
    1 pkg. yeast
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water.
    Add sugar, salt, shortening, egg and 1 cup flour.
    Mix by hand.
    Add the remaining 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour.
    Beat until smooth.
    Spoon into a greased muffin pan about 1/2 full.
    Pat with a little flour and cover with a cloth.
    Let rise in a warm place about 40 minutes.
    Bake 18 to 20 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Makes 15 buns.
