Chocolate Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 sq. unsweetened chocolate or 1/2 c. cocoa
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. half and half
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix in saucepan the sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Remove from heat.
    Gradually stir in egg yolks.
    Boil 1 more minute.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Spread meringue on top of pie.
    Bake until brown at 400\u00b0 (8 to 10 minutes).
    Cool to room temperature.
    Makes one 9-inch pie.
