Hershey'S Cocoa Cake(1St Place In Pa State Greatest Cocoa Cake Contest, 1994) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
    4 oz. boiling water
    2 oz. Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
    2 1/2 c. plus 3 Tbsp. cake flour
    3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 c. plus 3 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 stick butter, room temperature
    1/3 c. vegetable oil
    3 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. sour cream
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Butter 3 (9-inch) round cake pans.
    Dust pans with flour.
    Place 4 ounces chopped chocolate in metal bowl. Pour boiling water over; stir until melted.
    Set aside to cool. Finely grind 2 ounces chocolate in food processor.
    Sift flour, cocoa, soda, baking powder and salt into a large bowl.
    Re-sift 2 times.
    Using another bowl, beat sugar, butter and oil until well blended, approximately 4 minutes.
    Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add cooled chocolate mixture.
    Beat 1 minute.
    Gradually add dry ingredients and beat on low speed until combined, about 1 minute.
    Increase speed to medium and beat 4 minutes.
    Add buttermilk, sour cream, vanilla and finely ground chocolate and mix on low speed 1 minute.
    Spoon batter evenly between the three pans.
    Divide remaining chocolate chips evenly; sprinkle over each pan.
    Bake until toothpick comes out clean, approximately 25 minutes.
