Creamed Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans chicken broth
    2 celery ribs, chopped
    1 medium head cabbage, shredded
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 carrot, chopped
    1/4 c. margarine
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. milk
    2 c. cubed ham, fully cooked
Preparation
    In a large kettle, combine broth, celery, cabbage, onion and carrot.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
    Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium saucepan.
    Add flour, salt and pepper; stir to form a smooth paste.
    Gradually add milk to flour mixture, stirring constantly. Gradually stir into vegetable mixture and add ham.
    Heat through. Makes 8 to 10
    servings.
