Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (1/2 butter)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    cinnamon-sugar
Preparation
    Blend shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, beat well after each. Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add and mix well.
    Shape in 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon-sugar (2 tablespoons sugar mixed with 2 tablespoons cinnamon).
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes 2 inches apart at 400\u00b0 on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Yields 6 dozen.
