Peanutty Crisscrosses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 sticks softened butter
    1/3 c. water
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine oatmeal, flour and soda in medium bowl.
    In large bowl, beat butter, peanut butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Blend in water, egg and vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients and mix.
    Chill dough 1 hour.
    Shape in 1-inch balls.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with fork tines dipped in sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 9 to 10 minutes.
    Cool for 1 minute on cookie sheet, then transfer to cooling rack.
