Harriet'S Breakfast Special - cooking recipe
Ingredients

16 slices trimmed bread
8 slices American cheese
6 eggs
1 qt. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 to 1/2 lb. bacon
Preparation

Butter long casserole dish.
Butter bread and lay facing down (8 slices).
Place cheese on bread.
Butter other eight slices and lay facing upward.
Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
Pour over bread.
Fry bacon, drain, crumble and sprinkle on top of bread. Cover and chill overnight in refrigerator.
Place dish in large broiler pan filled with water.
Bake, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour, until brown and puffy.
