Ham And Cornmeal Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 ham bone
    1 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 egg, beaten
    pepper
Preparation
    Cook ham bone and remove meat.
    Reserve broth.
    Mix meal, flour, egg and pepper.
    Add broth from meat to make a stiff dough. Shape into balls (size of small egg).
    Drop balls into hot broth. Cook, without stirring, until done.
    Serve hot.
    Chopped meat may be used on top.
