Jiffy Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. milk
    3 to 4 c. fruit, sweetened to taste

    1 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. milk
    3 to 4 c. fruit, sweetened to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine in an 8-inch casserole dish.
    Stir dry ingredients.
    Add milk, stirring until just blended.
    Spoon carefully over melted butter.
    Do not stir.
    Pour the sweetened fruit over the batter; do not stir.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes.
    Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
    Makes about 6 servings.
