Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. margarine
    2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in heavy boiler except nuts.
    Cook until mixture reaches soft boil stage (candy thermometer).
    Remove from heat and add pecans.
    Let cool a little (but still very warm). Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
    Let cool.
