Ms. Clara'S Oyster Cornbread Dressing(Lawrence'S Grandmother) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
1 c. chopped green onions
1 c. chopped celery
3 to 4 slices white bread
1 pan cornbread (use own recipe)
plenty of chicken broth (at least 4 cans)
salt and pepper to taste
2 to 3 Tbsp. sage or desired taste
2 or 3 eggs
oysters (as many as you like, at least 1 can)
Preparation

Saute peppers, onions and celery in small amount of butter. Toast bread and crumble up along with cornbread in large casserole or roasting pan.
Pour enough broth over crumbled bread to make soft.
Add sauteed peppers, onions and celery.
Season to taste with salt, pepper and sage.
Beat eggs and add to mixture.
Mix thoroughly, adding desired amount of chicken broth to make moist.
