Turnip Kraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. shredded turnips
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Fill glass jar to 1/2 inch from the brim with turnips and water, to which salt has been added.
    Screw top of jar down hard, then make a slight turn back.
    Mixture will start working in 3 to 4 days.
    Keep in a cool place 6 weeks before using.
