Woodstove Venison Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. venison stew meat
    1 garlic clove
    4 small onions
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1/4 c. Port wine
    1 tsp. steak sauce
    3 slices bacon
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    4 carrots, cut
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. tomato juice
    1 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Fry bacon in large heavy skillet.
    Add stew meat that has been rolled in seasoned flour.
    Brown meat; add garlic (minced) and cook 1 minute.
    Add water, bouillon cube, steak sauce, tomato juice, Port wine, lemon juice and thyme.
    Cover and cook on woodstove about 1 hour.
    Add vegetables and water if needed. Simmer about 1 hour.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Thicken stew slightly with flour.
