Boiled Peanuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. raw peanuts (in the shell)
    1 c. salt
Preparation
    Wash peanuts.
    Put in large kettle and cover with water.
    Add salt; bring to a boil and simmer about 5 1/2 hours, until peanuts are tender but still firm.
    Taste and see if they are salty enough.
    Drain.
    Peanuts are good hot, warm or chilled.
