Old Fashioned Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. shortening
10 eggs
4 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs; beat until well blended.
Add flour and salt.
Mix well until batter is smooth and well blended.
Add vanilla.
Pour into a tube pan.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 2 hours.
