Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled
    2 Tbsp. evaporated milk
    2 Tbsp. water
    3/4 c. nuts
Preparation
    Stir flour; measure and resift with salt.
    Cream butter. Gradually blend in sugar and beaten eggs.
    Beat until smooth and fluffy.
    Add vanilla and stir in chocolate.
    Add flour alternately with evaporated milk and water mixed together, stirring after each addition.
    Add nuts, stirring.
    Spread in 8-inch pan that bottom has been lined with wax paper and buttered.
    Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    Remove pan to cool.
    Cut in pieces.
    Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
