Pineapple Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 c. crushed pineapple
4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg, milk and pineapple and mix well.
Add flour, baking powder and spices.
Make a soft dough.
If too soft, add a little more flour.
Roll out and cut into bars, 3 x 2 x 1/2-inches.
Fry in hot oil.
Ice with powdered sugar icing.
