Italian Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, chopped
    2 stalks celery, diced
    1 carrot, grated
    mushrooms to taste
    1 1/2 lb. ground round (drain any grease)
    1/2 c. cooking sherry
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 small can tomato paste
    1 can tomato puree
    1/2 tsp. Italian dressing
    salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion, celery and carrot in olive oil until onions are transparent.
    Add mushrooms to taste.
    Separately, brown ground round.
    Drain any grease.
    Add cooking sherry.
    Cook slowly until evaporated, then combine with first ingredients.
    Add tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato puree, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    May need a little water added.
    Serve over spaghetti or favorite pasta.
