Kraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can sauerkraut or 1 lb. 11 oz.
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
    1 large green bell pepper, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 (2 oz.) can pimento
Preparation
    Drain and rinse kraut; let drain well.
    Heat vinegar and sugar until sugar melts; add kraut.
    Add onion, pepper and pimento.
    Let stand in refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
    Better if let set for 3 to 4 days before eating.
    Will keep for 3 to 4 weeks in refrigerator.
