Surprise Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. mint flavored chocolate chips
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar.
    Add vanilla and beat until soft peaks form.
    Add sugar gradually.
    Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
    Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Cover baking sheet with plain brown paper.
    Drop from teaspoon and bake at 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
