Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 9 qt. popped corn
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Boil sugar, butter, syrup, salt and vanilla for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add soda and pour over popped corn in a large roasting pan, coating well.
    Cook in oven at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour. Stir every 20 minutes.
    Store in airtight containers.
    Add peanuts to popcorn if desired.
