Canned Comstock Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. cornstarch
10 1/4 c. water
3 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
7 qt. prepared apples
Preparation

Cool until thick and clear; pour over apples.
Put in jars; seal and process 10 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
This mixture may also be frozen instead of canned, if you prefer.
