Corn Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 ears corn
    1 large cabbage
    6 large onions
    4 c. sugar
    3 pods pepper (hot, optional)
    3 Tbsp. mustard
    3 Tbsp. turmeric
    3 qt. vinegar
    1 c. salt
    1 c. flour (plain)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except flour and 1 quart of vinegar.
    Cook to a slow boil for 45 minutes.
    Then add flour and remaining vinegar.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Can while hot.
    Makes 12 pints.
