Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. raw peanuts
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. water
Preparation
    In large skillet mix first 3 ingredients, bring to a boil. Boil until syrup forms a hard ball when dropped in a cup of cold water.
    Peanuts will turn golden brown. Add vanilla, soda and water.
    Pour into a greased cookie sheet to cool.
