Mom'S Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    Line unpricked pie crust with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Remove foil, bake 5 minutes longer.
    Remove from oven and set aside.
