Picante Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. peeled tomatoes, mashed
    6 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 pods garlic, minced
    6 c. bell peppers, chopped
    6 c. onions, chopped
    1/4 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    jalapeno pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook 50 to 60 minutes.
    Pour into hot jars and seal.
