French Oven Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
    2 medium onions
    4 medium carrots
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3 c. tomato juice (to pour meat)
    3 stalks celery, cut up
    1/3 c. quick cooking tapioca
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Mix beef, onions, celery and carrots in a covered baking dish. Mix together cooking tapioca, sugar, salt and pepper and pour over vegetables, stirring to coat meat and vegetables.
    Cover and cook about 2 hours at 325\u00b0, until meat and vegetables are about done.
    Stir occasionally.
    Peel 3 medium potatoes; add 1 cup frozen lima beans (optional).
    Stir all together with meat and vegetables and cook an additional 1 hour.
