Date Pecan Blondies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 13 x 9-inch pan. Beat brown sugar and butter or margarine until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
    Add flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg; mix well.
    Add dates and stir well.
    Spread into greased pan.
    Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
    Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
