Sirloin Tip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 lb. sirloin, cubed
    1 can beef consomme
    1/3 c. Burgundy wine
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. onion salt
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    4 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Melt shortening.
    Brown meat.
    Stir in consomme, wine, soy sauce, garlic and onion salt.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat to low and cook until meat is tender (a crock-pot can be used also). Blend cornstarch and water; boil until thick.
    Pour over meat mixture.
    Pour in rice.
