Marinated Mushroom-Spinach Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1/4 c. white wine vinegar
    1/2 tsp. basil
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic
    1 Bermuda onion (medium), sliced
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    1 lb. spinach, torn into bite size pieces
Preparation
    Combine oil, vinegar, basil, salt, pepper and garlic, blending well.
    Pour over onion and mushrooms.
    Let stand at room temperature 2 hours, or refrigerate overnight.
    Stir occasionally. Place spinach in serving dishes.
    Arrange mushroom mixture over top.
    Serve immediately.
    Serves 6.
