Taco Burgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. salsa or taco sauce
    1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 lb. ground beef
    4 lettuce leaves (optional)
    4 hamburger buns, split
    4 slices pasteurized process cheese spread (4 oz.)
    salsa or taco sauce (optional)
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, combine salsa or taco sauce, bread crumbs, chili powder and salt.
    Add ground beef; mix well.
    Shape meat mixture into 4 (3/4-inch) thick patties.
    Arrange patties in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch microwave-safe baking dish.
    Cover loosely with waxed paper.
    Microcook on 100% power (High) for 3 minutes.
    Drain off fat.
    Give the dish a half turn and turn meat patties over.
    Cook on High for 3 to 5 minutes more or until no pink remains.
    Place lettuce on buns.
    Top with cooked meat patties and process cheese spread.
    Pass additional salsa or taco sauce with burgers.
    Makes 4 servings.
