Smoky Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    4 c. milk
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. cheese
    smokies (sausage), sliced
    1 pkg. frozen corn
Preparation
    In saucepan cook onion in butter or margarine until tender, but not brown.
    Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add milk all at once.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    Stir in sausage and corn.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
