Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Beat together the margarine and shortening.
    Add sugars and beat until fluffy.
    Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
    Stir dry ingredients together.
    Gradually add flour mixture to margarine mixture, beating until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden.
    Remove cookies to cooling rack to cool. Yields 54 cookies.
