Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. evaporated milk
    2 c. peanut butter
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar (optional)
Preparation
    Boil milk and sugar (and cream of tartar if used) for 10 minutes.
    Add peanut butter; stir until thick and creamy.
    Pour onto greased platter; let harden.
    Cut into bite size squares and serve.
