Ingredients

1 can sliced beets
1 Tbsp. flour
2 to 3 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Drain beets and reserve juice.
Make a white sauce by melting butter, then stirring in flour to make a paste.
Slowly drizzle beet juice into flour mixture, stirring constantly.
Cook over low heat until thickened.
Add vinegar and sugar.
Taste and make any necessary adjustments.
Add beets.
Let sit for a while, then heat beets.
