Chinese Fried Walnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    4 c. walnuts
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Bring water to boil; add nuts and boil 1 to 2 minutes.
    Drain in colander and rinse under hot water.
    Drain.
    Mix with sugar and let stand 5 minutes until sugar dissolves.
    Heat 1-inch of oil in skillet to 350\u00b0.
    Add half the nuts and fry 5 minutes or until golden.
    Spread on brown paper to drain.
    Repeat with last half of nuts.
    Salt, if desired.
    Keeps in airtight container for 2 months.
