Tomato-Cheese Rounds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 to 4 1/2 dozen bread rounds *
    1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar
    1/3 c. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. finely minced green onions (and tops)
    1 Tbsp. finely chopped capers
    3 Tbsp. finely minced green pepper
    1/8 tsp. each salt and cayenne
    1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    mayonnaise (for spreading)
    40 to 50 cherry tomatoes
Preparation
    *Cut regular bread, your choice, with cutter to just fit size of tomatoes, about 1 to 1 1/4-inch diameter.
