Scottish Oat Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. oleo, melted
    1/3 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. Quick Quaker oats, uncooked
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Combine all dry ingredients.
    Add melted oleo, milk and egg. Mix just until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Stir in raisins. Shape dough to form a ball; pat out on a lightly floured surface to form an 8-inch circle.
    Cut into 8 to 12 wedges.
    Bake on a greased cookie sheet in a preheated 425\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown.
    Serve warm at breakfast or brunch with butter, preserves or honey, as desired.
