Chocolate Caramels(Sooo Good!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/4 lb. grated chocolate
    1/3 c. butter
    1/3 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cream
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. chopped nutmeats (optional)
Preparation
    Cook the
    sugar,
    molasses, chocolate, butter, salt and 1/2 of the
    cream
    to
    the thread stage (230\u00b0).
    Add remaining cream gradually and continue to cook to the hard ball stage at (254\u00b0). Remove
    from
    stove.
    Cool.
    Beat
    well and pour into buttered pans.
    Cut into squares when nearly cold.
