Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, at room temperature
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream, at room temperature
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla.
Mix flour, soda and salt in bowl. Add to chocolate mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
Stir in boiling water.
Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
Cool in pan.
Invert onto serving plate.
