Little Nothings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    fruit preserves (any kind)
    bread slice
    3/4 c. pancake mix
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 c. milk
    1 egg
    vegetable oil
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Spread preserves on bread.
    Roll up like a jelly roll and combine 3/4 cup pancake mix, 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.
    Add egg and milk.
    Pour vegetable oil into deep fryer and allow oil to heat.
    Dip each jelly roll in batter and drop into hot oil.
    Fry until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with sugar.
